Zamia furfuracea is a Mexican tropical wild plant of the group

commonly known as cycads.

It is endemic to the southern coastal zone of the state of Veracruz..

It lives in coastal dunes or nearby, in dominated habitats

by bushes or similar vegetation no larger than 3 m of

height in palm groves and coastal holm oaks. It has high commercial value as

planta ornamental, especially in the United States and Europe
