Coccothrinax argentea

Coccothrinax argentea Normally observed on the island of Española,

this pretty palm tree maintains a solitary or rarely branched trunk,

smooth and slender that can measure 10 m high. Its circular leaves,

webbed are dark green on the upper surface and silver on the underside, more obvious

when moving slowly with a slight breeze.

In its place of natural origin, found in open areas or pine forests

on rocky terrain, calcareous and often in disturbed areas where it spreads to your liking.

Easily adapted to growing in temperate and tropical zones and can withstand some coastal exposure.
