Adansonia madagascariensis

Adansonia madagascariensit is a big tree, deciduous-dry arriving

up to 20m high, with a thick trunk, bottle type, from 5 m in diameter or more.

The large, attractive red flowers open at night.

It is found in northwestern Madagascar, in forests

deciduous trees, that benefit from a wet season.

In cultivation, ideal for dry tropical locations, in USDA zones 10 and higher.
